About

Since 1993, OKOndt GROUP™ has been offering development and building of the portable devices and automated nondestructive testing systems. Today, we produce a range of around 4000 kinds of transducers and over 40 devices, including but not limited to:

  • Portable Ultrasonic Thickness Gauges and Flaw Detectors: Sonocon B, Sonocon BL, UDS2-77, UDS2-73, USR-01, ExScan 1000;
  • Electromagnetic Acoustic Flaw Detectors (EMACON);
  • Portable and Multichannel Eddy Current Flaw Detectors (Eddycon C, Eddycon CL, Eddycon D);
  • Ultrasonic (UT), MPI, and Eddy Current (ET) Automated Systems for aircraft wheels inspection (SmartScan, SmartScan-FA), railway axles (UMPKOS-38, AXLE-4) or railway wheels (UG-2) testing.

ULTRASONIC TESTING

Ultrasonic (UT) nondestructive flaw detection tools measure and present visualizations of their behavior of based on propagation and reflection of high-frequency (0.5 to 24 MHz) UT waves in a test object substance (steel, plastic, composites, rubber, etc.).The tools for quality control of welding, soldering, etc. identify material defects (pores, hairlines, inclusions, inhomogeneities, etc.) through their further processing and visualizing on a special-purpose NDT equipment (flaw detector). Ultrasonic examination is very important in the manufacturing and operation of numerous critical components, such as aircraft engine parts, pipelines and rails.
ULTRASONIC Testing solution :
o   ULTRASONIC FLAW DETECTOR
o   ULTRASONIC THICKNESS GAUGES
o   TOFD EQUIPMENT
o   ULTRASONIC PROBES
o   ULTRASONIC CALIBRATION BLOCKS

EDDY CURRENT TESTING

In order to find flaws in conductive materials, one of the non-destructive testing techniques that leverages the electromagnetism principle is called eddy current testing. Durability and reliability of rails in-service play a decisive role in railroad industry that is due to the fact that the development of the defects and breach of strength characteristics of the rails can result in their breakage or even lead to crashes.
Eddy Current Testing solution :
o   EDDY CURRENT FLAW DETECTOR
o   EDDY CURRENT PROBES
o   EDDY CURRENT CALIBRATION BLOCKS

AUTOMATED TESTING

OKOndt GROUP™ provides users with a large number of ultrasonic testing machines outfitted for the purposes of automated nondestructive testing. In a variety of circumstances, like the complex testing of railcar wheelsets, where the usage of portable flaw detectors is either problematic or impossible, automated NDT systems are employed to complete testing duties. Nondestructive testing systems are usually based on three automated NDT methods: ultrasonic, magnetic, and eddy current.

OKO EMA TESTING

The ОКО-22М-EMA ultrasonic flaw detector is an independent electronic device and is designed for application in stationary, high-performance systems (automated multichannel NDT Systems), transportable systems (mechanized NDT systems), or for manual testing. Multiple EMA channels can be connected to the PC via the Switch unit since the flaw detector is a standalone device connected to a PC via Ethernet connection. This enables the development of multichannel EMA testing systems.
